The Wayne Simmonds Award is presented annually to the player who is recognized for his outstanding on ice performance, leadership, and loyalty in the Midget age group. The Senior Player of the Year Award was split up into two separate awards starting in 2015-2016 season. This enabled the Jr. Canadiens to recognize a player in both the Minor Midget and Midget age groups.
